Pune, October 2026: The Don Bosco Development Society organized three free health check-up camps under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ project supported by AXA Global Business Services.  The details are as follows:

Camp 1: Free General Health Check-Up Camp - Ajantha Nagar, Chinchwad

• Date & Location: October 23, 2026 | Ajantha Nagar Slum, Chinchwad (Pune)

• Medical Team: Dr. Anand Mundhe (B.A.M.S) and Dr. Neeta Shirsat (B.H.M.S)

• Beneficiaries: 78 individuals (53 Females, 15 Males, 10 Children)

Services & Diagnostics: Vital parameters including Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Body Temperature, and Oxygen Saturation were checked for all attendees.

Key Diagnoses: Joint pain, fungal infections, common cold/cough, calcium deficiency, gastric issues, skin infections, and general vision/eye problems. Free medicines were distributed to patients based on diagnosis.

Camp 2: Eye & Free General Health Check-Up Camp - Vidya Nagar, Chinchwad

• Date & Location: October 26, 2026 | Vidya Nagar Slum, Chinchwad (Pune)

• Medical Team: Dr. Rahul Patil (B.A.M.S), Dr. Prashant Wagaji (Optometrist), and Ms. Tanushree Lonkar (Optometrist, H.V. Desai Eye Hospital)

• Beneficiaries: 105 individuals (67 Females, 23 Males, 15 Children)

Services & Diagnostics: Comprehensive general screening alongside specialized eye examinations. Routine monitoring covered B.P., Sugar, Temperature, and Oxygen levels.

Key Diagnoses & Interventions: Identified cases of joint pain, skin/fungal infections, respiratory colds, calcium deficiencies, and gastrointestinal ailments. Free medicines were provided. Additionally, 3 patients were diagnosed with cataracts and referred for follow-up cataract surgery.

Camp 3: General Health Check-Up Camp - Bhayyawadi, Tadiwala Road, Pune

• Date & Location: October 29, 2026 | Bhayyawadi, Tadiwala Road, Pune

• Medical Team: Dr. Mune

• Beneficiaries: 73 community residents

Services: General health examination, primary healthcare consultation, and basic preventive health advice.
