The tailoring training sessions were conducted at Kishanwadi during October 2026 for two batches of 20 girls each. Both batches followed the same curriculum, with sessions scheduled separately in the afternoon and evening to facilitate participation. The training was facilitated by resource person Ms. Neha Sonavne.
During the reporting period, participants learned to stitch different traditional garments, including Dhoti Salwar, Katori Walo Blouse, Angarkha Kurta and Kali Walo Chaniyo. The sessions focused on developing practical stitching skills through step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on practice. Participants were encouraged to understand garment construction, measurements, cutting and stitching techniques. The training provided them with an opportunity to strengthen their tailoring abilities and gain confidence in creating different types of garments. The programme aims to equip the girls with useful vocational skills that can support their future livelihood opportunities, self-employment and economic independence.
