Mumbai, July-August 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized two training workshops for the remedial class teachers. 20 teachers and 7 project staff participated in this training which was organized under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL).

Ms Shamika Ranade and Ms Bindu Chaddha were the resource persons for the workshops. In her interactive session Ms Shamika Ranade spoke about the qualities of a teacher and methods of teaching. She gave valuable inputs on how to teach students, preparing teaching- learning material (games, stories, lesson plans). Ms Bindu took session on classroom management, teaching style and motivational inputs to students. She also taught the teachers how to measure progress of a child and document it.

Mrs Shamika Ranade (Coordinator- Remedial Classes) also took six monitoring session for teachers. In the monitoring session, Mrs Ranade took stock of the progress being made by students. She guided the teachers on the school syllabus and on the methods to engage students online.
