1672 Urban Slum Education Project in Vadodara

Vadodara, May 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society organized various art and craft activities with children under the aegis of ‘Urban Slum Education Project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

In the beginning of summer vacation creative workshops were organized for 600 slum children, focusing on crafting and learning activities. The aim of the workshop was to engage children in creative pursuits, enhance their fine motor skills, and teach them essential life skills such as reading the time. The activities included making paper dogs, paper fish, paper bags, and clocks, followed by a session on how to check the time.

The children were not only engaged and entertained but also gained valuable skills in crafting and time-reading. The activities helped to enhance their creativity, motor skills, and practical knowledge. The event fostered a sense of achievement and joy among the children, contributing positively to their overall development.
