1365 DBDS-AXA Project: financial literacy for slum women
Pune, August 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) held three financial literacy sessions under the aegis of covid-19 pandemic relief work project supported by AXA business services.
First financial literacy session was held on 9-August in Mahatama Phule Nagar slum. Second session was held on 21-August in Ambedkar Nagar slum in Chinchwad. Third session was held on 27-August in Subhash Nagar slum in Pune. Mr K.S Parkhi and Mr. Nagsen Chavan were the resource persons for the training sessions and they covered following topics:
• illegal financial schemes and their scams
• financial scams like speak Asia online, royal twinkle star club ltd, pearl, pancard, samrudha jivan yojan, stock guru India
• Insurance schemes – important of term insurance and health insurance.
• Gold investment.
• PPF, sukanya samriddhi yojana, pradhan mantri suraksha bima yojana, atal pension yojana, post office small saving schemes.
