Pune, September 2023 : The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized three health camps for 198 people under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by AXA business services. The details are as follows:

First health Check-up camp was organized on 27th September 2023at Sau Salve Nagar in Yerwada. 77 patients (19 Men, 4 children and 54 women) were examined by Dr. Junaid Khan. Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from, Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, menstrual irregularities, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Skin infections and anaemia. On examination, 9 patients were observed with high blood pressure and another 8 were found to be having high sugar level.  Free medicines were distributed to the patients.

Second health camp was organized on 6th September 2023 at Ambedkar Nagar slum in Chinchwad. Mr Harshdeep Raut and Mr Snaket Garaje examined the eye sight of 39 (27 women and 12 men) people. B.P, Temperature and Oxygen level of all the patients were measure. During examination 5 Cataract, 1 Retina, 1 POD patients were identified for Cataract Surgery. Few patients with defective vision were also referred to ISHA Netralaya for further treatment.

Third health camp was organized on 14th September 2023 at Mahatama Phule Nagar slum in Chinchwad. Dr. Ashok Gholve (MBBS) and his team examined 82 (54 women, 25 men and 3 children) patients. Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Eye problem, Skin infections etc. Free medicines were given to patients. 5 Cataract patients were identified for Cataract Surgery.
