Pune : A workshop on “Breast and Cervical Cancer” awareness was organized on 20^th June 2022 for women from various slums of Pune city. 34 women from various slum areas participated in this workshop. The programme was organized under the aegis of corporate responsibility week of AXA Business Services.

The objective of the workshop was to make women aware about the health risks of Cancer. Cervical and Breast cancer are the most common type of Cancer affecting women in slums.

Mrs Namita Pathak (Vice Principal – Sadhu Vaswani Nursing College) was the resource person. In her interactive session she explained the causes, symptoms, precautions, diagnosis and treatment of Cancer. Later she answered to the doubts and questions raised by the participants. After the session toilet soap and biscuit packets were distributed to the participants.
