Pune, April 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized two Climate Change awareness sessions for 32 people under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by AXA GBS. The details are as follows:

First session was organized on 26th April 2024 at Anand Nagar slum for 16 children. Ms Akshada Naik was the resource person. 

Second session was also organized on 26th April 2024 at Kamraj Nagar slum for 16 ladies. Mrs. Trupti Gaikwad was the resource person. 

The objective of the workshops was to make children aware and take action for climate change adaptation measures, such as adjustments in natural and man-made systems to reduce the likely impacts of climate change. The Resource Persons covered following topics:

• Air Pollution & impact to human body 

• Land Pollution & impact to human body

• Water Pollution & impact to human body

• Sound pollution and impact to human health 

• Water conservation, Waste Management 

• Reduce, reuse and recycle 

These were interactive session where the participants asked questions which were answered by the resource person. After the sessions snacks were distributed to all.
