Pune, October 2023: The Don Bosco Development Society organized two rallies on the topic of health and cleanliness under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by AXA Business Services.

 First rally was organized on 3rd October 2023 to create awareness on Cancer. 60 students and school staff from Sopanrao Kalbhor Madhyamic Vidyalay participated in this rally. The objective of the rally was to create awareness on the causes, symptoms and treatment of Cancer. The rally started at 11.30 am when the school children gathered at their school playground where they were briefed about the rally by Ms Akshada Naik. From there they walked through the lanes of Kalbhor Nagar. In the rally, children carried placards with slogans on the causes of Cancer, Signs and Symptoms, Prevention & Treatment, Tobacco Cessation, harmful effects of tobacco and Gutkha etc. Children were very excited to participate in the rally and communicated their message to residents and commuters on the way. After the rally sumptuous Snacks were served to all.

Second rally was organized on 7th October 2023 on the issues related to garbage disposal and cleanliness in Sant Gadagemaharaj Vasahat in Koregaon Park. 47 School going children  participated in this event. During the rally the students carried placards with slogans and interacted with the people on the way to educate them about Cleanliness. Children were very excited to participate in the rally and communicated their message to residents and commuters on the way. After the rally sumptuous snacks were served to all.
