1653 Skills Programme :  Beauty Care Training for Girls

Vadodara, April 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized Beauty Care Skill Training for 21 girls from slums of Vadodara under the aegis of project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany).

Ms Maheshwari Lohar was the resource person. She took four sessions, whose details are as follows:

In this month the instructor covered topics of eye shadow, hair crimping, hair style and face massage. Practical demonstrations were conducted by the instructor, instructions were given and students practiced the process shown by the instructor. Machine face massage helps in stimulating facial muscles, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. Eye shadow application involves selecting complementary colours, applying a base shade over the eyelids, followed by darker shades in the crease and lighter shades on the brow bone. Hair crimping entails using a crimping iron to create textured waves or zigzag patterns in the hair. Sections of hair are clamped between the plates of the iron and held briefly before releasing. Hair styling involves selecting a suitable hairstyle, prepping the hair with products, and using tools like brushes, combs, and styling irons to achieve the desired look. Finishing touches such as hairspray or serum add shine and hold.
