Pune, April 2022: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Pune organized three Climate Change awareness session for 163 students under the aegis of ‘Health Care and Sustainable Environment Project’ supported by AXA Business Services.

First Climate Change Awareness session was held on 6th April 2022 in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Vidyalaya at Bopodi slum for 70 students. Mr. Ramesh Gaikwad was the resource person for the program. Second Climate Change Awareness session was held on 7th April 2022 in Ayush School at Chinchwad for 51 children. Mrs Akshada Naik was the resource person for this session. Third Climate Change Awareness session was held on 25th April 2022 in Samata School at Nagpur Chwal for 42 students.

The objective of these workshops was to make children aware and take action for climate change adaptation measures, such as adjustments in natural and man-made systems to reduce the likely impacts of climate change.

Resource persons covered following topics:

• Air Pollution & impact to human body

• Land Pollution & impact to human body

• Water Pollution & impact to human body

• Sound pollution and impact to human health

• How to save water

• How to change in lifestyle impact

It was an interactive session where the participants asked questions which were answered by the resource person. After the session Mask and snacks were distributed to all.
