Pune, July 2022: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized two income generation training workshop for 37 women under the aegis of “Health Care and Sustainable Environment” Project supported by AXA business services. The details are as follows:

First Income Generation training was held from 12^th July to 15^th July 2022 on Perfume, Agarbatti and Candle making. Mrs. Lalita Mahajan from Kasturba Gandhi Khadi Gram Udyog was the trainer for this training. During the training 5 different kinds of incense stick and candle making were taught to participants. This included 3 type of perfume, Dhoop, simple incense stick, scented incenses stick, rose incenses stick, sandal incenses stick, masala incenses stick, simple candle, decorative candle light candle etc. Participants of the training were selected based on an interview. Ms. Mrudula Jakkal & Mrs. Lalita Mahajan were the resource persons for training on marketing, costing, budgeting, pricing and branding of product.

Second Income Generation training was held on 22^nd July 2022 on Rakhi Making for 15 women from Ajanta Nagar slum. Mrs. Jaya Kale was the resource person. The objective of this training was to impart skills and knowledge for supplementary income to the families connected to this project.The participants learnt to Simple Rakhi, Teddy Rakhi, Swastik Rakhi, Gold Rakhi, Pearl Rakhi etc. Resource person also took session on business development and management. She guided on marketing, costing, budgeting, pricing and branding of products.
