Chinchwad (Pune), September 2022: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized a rally on the theme of tobacco and cancer under the aegis of ‘Health Care and Sustainable Environment Project’ supported by AXA Business Services.

The rally was organized on 10^th September 2022 to create awareness on harmful effects of tobacco and Cancer. More than 130 students and school staff from Jai Bhavani Madhyamic School, M. Phule Nagar participated in this rally. The school children gathered at their school playground at 11:00 AM where they were briefed about the rally. From there they walked through the lanes of M. Phule Nagar, Ram Nagar and Dutta Nagar slum. In the rally, children carried placards with slogans on the causes of Cancer, Signs and Symptoms, Tobacco Cessation, harmful effects of tobacco and effects of chewing Gutkha, Diagnosis, Prevention and Treatment. Children were very excited to participate in the rally and communicated their message to residents and commuters on the way. After the rally sumptuous snacks were served to all.
