1721 AXA-DBDS Project: Free Health Camps
Pune, October 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized three general health check-up and eye examination camps for the residents of Private Road, Indira Nagar an Tadiwala Road Slum. A total of 322 individuals were examined by the medical team during the camps supported by AXA Global Business Services. The details of these camps are as follows:
The camps focused on comprehensive health assessments, with a particular emphasis on measuring blood pressure and conducting sugar tests for all patients. Free medicines were distributed to ensure that individuals could receive necessary treatments without financial burden.
The first camp was held on 4th October 2024 at Private Road, led by Dr. Anilkumar Mune, where 123 patients were treated. The medical team diligently measured blood pressure and performed sugar tests for every individual, emphasizing preventive health measures. Second Camp was organized on 22nd October 2024. A multi-specialty team, including Dr. Yogesh Pawar (M.D. Paediatric), Dr. Badude Narijan (MS), Dr. Anjali Kolte (MS Surgery), and Dr. Darell Borse (Optician), examined 82 patients at Indira Nagar. This diverse team facilitated a range of medical assessments, continuing the practice of monitoring blood pressure and conducting sugar tests while distributing free medicines.
The third camp took place on 25th October 2024 at Tadiwala Road, again under the supervision of Dr. Anilkumar Mune, serving 117 patients. The team maintained its commitment to health screenings, ensuring each patient received personalized attention.
