1347 Covid-19 Relief Operations Continue In Mumbai for the Needy

Mumbai, August 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) helped yet another 490 covid-affected families in the slums of Mumbai. They distributed ration kits, hygiene and medical kits to all these families. This relief operation was financially supported by Macquarie Group Foundation.

Fr McEnroe Lopes along with the DBDS staff successfully implemented this task at Don Bosco Kurla campus. Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) mentioned that this relief operation is part of a bigger project that is presently catering to more than 11,000 people across the various slums of Mumbai.

Social distancing and other government compliances were strictly adhered to during this entire process. DBDS has reached out to more than 850,000 poor and needy since the beginning of this pandemic - providing for their basic and essential needs.
