Vadodara, April 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized two Glass Painting Trainings for 8 girls and 11 boys from slums of Vadodara under the aegis of project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany).

Ms Manshi Yadav was the resource person. She took two sessions, whose details are as follows:

This month children learnt to paint glass bottles and put various shapes and art forms using clay on the glass bottle. Children used material such as glass colour, fevicol, canvas, brush, flat brush, clay etc to make the above mentioned items.

 For making each of the items, the instructor explained the process in details while demonstrating the steps involved in making the items. During the practical session, she helped in correcting the mistakes of children so that they learn by improving on their mistakes. First the tissue paper is pasted on the glass bottle with the help of Fevicol and then black colour is applied. After the black colour dries, decorate the bottle with moulded clay. After the moulded clay dries, apply colour or golden or silver dust on it. Finally the glass painting is left to dry before displaying it.
