Pune: A Breast Cancer Awareness Session was organized on 24^th June 2022 for the residents of Tadiwala Road slum in Pune. 33 women participated in this session held under the aegis of corporate responsibility week of AXA Business Services.

The objective of the session was to make women aware of the symptoms and diagnosis of breast cancer. Mrs. Christian Tekwani and Ms. Nirmala from Sadhu Vaswani College of Nursing were the resource persons. Mrs Christian explained the importance of screening tests for the early detection of breast cancer. Mrs Nirmala explained the causes, stages, clinical features, early diagnosis which was followed by a demonstration of self-breast examination.

The participant’s doubts and questions were answered by the resource persons in the question and answer session. After the session soap and biscuit packets were distributed to the participants.
