Vadodara, December 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized Beauty Care Skill Training for 20 girls from slums of Vadodara under the aegis of project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany). 

Ms Maheshwari Lohar was the resource person. She took three sessions, whose details are as follows: 

This month the students underwent Theory, Eyebrow Shaping, and Hair Spa. The first session focused on Theory, offering a foundational understanding of beauty care. The instructor covered topics like skin types, hair textures, hygiene standards, and the importance of using the right products etc. The second session introduced the art of Eyebrow Shaping. The instructor demonstrated techniques for achieving perfectly defined brows using threading, tweezing, and shaping tools. Emphasis was placed on symmetry, facial balance, and client preferences. Hands-on practice allowed participants to build confidence in achieving professional results. In the final session, the students learnt about Hair Spa. Students were guided through steps like scalp analysis, oiling, massage techniques, and hair conditioning. The instructor highlighted the benefits of hair spa treatments, including stress relief, improved blood circulation, and restoring hair health.
