Pune, April 2022 : The Don Bosco Development Society organized two health check-up camps for 275 people under the aegis of ‘Health Care and Sustainable Environment Project’ supported by AXA Business Services.

First health camp was held on 20th April 2022 at Vidya Nagar slum. 80 women, 20 men and 22 children were examined by the medical team in this camp. The medical team consisting of Dr. Shubam Ladkat and Sister Sathe from Shree Krupa Multispecialty Hospital and Mrs. Avinsah Adake from H.V. Desai Hospital examined the patients. B.P and Temperature, oxygen level was measured for all patients. 11 Cataract patients were identified for Cataract Surgery. People with defective eye-sight were given spectacles at a highly subsidized cost of Rs.200 to 400 only. Few patients with defective vision were also referred to H.V. Desai Hospital for further treatment. Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Eye problem, Skin infections etc. Free Medicines were distributed to sick people.

Second health Camp was held on 27th April 2022 at Tadiwala road slum. 153 patients (57 Men, 23 children, and 73 women) were examined by Dr Junaid Khan. Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from, Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, menstrual irregularities, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Skin infections and anaemia.
