1686 AXA-DBDS Project: Financial Literacy and Digital Safety Session

Pune, July 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized three Financial Literacy awareness sessions for 68 ladies on savings, investment, insurance and digital security under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by AXA GBS. The details are as follows:

First session was organized on 5th July 2024 at Dutta Nagar slum for 30 ladies. Mrs. Shubhangi Kulkarni was the resource person. 

Second session was organized on 13th July 2024 at Kamraj nagar slum for 16 ladies. Mrs. Amruta Lahane was the resource person. 

Third session was organized on 26th July 2024 at Phule Nagar slum for 22 ladies. Mrs. Suvarna Madane and Mrs. Swapnali Pawar were the resource persons.

The resource person covered following topics in her session: 

SB Account,Recurring deposit (RD) and Fixed Deposits

Monthly Income Scheme(MIS)

Senior Citizen Scheme (SCS)

Public Provident Fund (PPF)

National Saving Certificate (NSC)

Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP)

Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana 

Ponzy schemes

Digital Frauds and Precautions

It was an interactive session where the participants asked questions which were answered by the resource person. One saving account, one Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana account and two Recurring Deposit account were subscribed by the participants.
