Pune, August 2022: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized a rally on 12th August 2022 under the aegis of Health Care and Sustainable Environment Project supported by AXA business services. The rally focused on the issues related to the cleanliness, hygiene and waste management. 78 students and staff of Shantabai Dhole Patil School participated in this rally. The school children gathered at their school playground at 10 am where they were briefed by the project staff. From there they walked through lanes of Tadiwala road slum. In the rally, children carried placards with slogans on harmful effects of garbage, dirty environment, causes of Dengue and Malaria fever etc. Children were very excited to participate in the rally and communicated their message to residents and commuters on the way.
