Pune, October 2023 : The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized two Financial Literacy awareness sessions on savings, investment, insurance and digital security under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by AXA business services. 

First session was organized on 7th October 2023 at Mahatama Phule Nagar slum for 23 ladies. Mr. K.S. Parkhi and Mr. Nitin Bane were the resource persons. Second session was organized on 25th October 2023 at Parnkuti Payatha slum for 16 ladies.  Mrs. Sunita Kamble was the resource person. The resource person covered following topics in her session: 

• SB Account,Recurring deposit (RD) and Fixed Deposits

• Monthly Income Scheme(MIS)

• Senior Citizen Scheme (SCS)

• Public Provident Fund (PPF)

• National Saving Certificate (NSC)

• Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP)

• Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana 

• Ponzy schemes

• Digital Frauds and Precautions

It was an interactive session where the participants asked questions which were answered by the resource person.
