1363 DBDS-AXA Project: sanitizer making training for women
Pune, August 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) held a sanitizer making training on 20th August 2021 for 14 women from Sureksha Nagar slum under the aegis of COVID-19 pandemic relief work project supported by AXA Business Services.
The objective of this training was to impart skills and knowledge for supplementary income to the families connected to this project. Ms. Kranti Sansare was the resource person for this training program. The participants learnt to make three types of sanitizer namely liquid base, gel base and spray. Resource person also took session on business development and management. She guided on marketing, costing, budgeting, pricing and branding of products. Roughly, the 100ml sanitizer would cost Rs. 18 to Rs. 22 to make and they can be sold for Rs. 45 to Rs. 50 thus getting a profit of Rs. 22 to Rs. 28 per 100 ml bottle.
