Mumbai, February 2023: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized nine Financial Literacy sessions for 265 ladies under the aegis of MGL Disha Project supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited. The details are as follows:

The resource persons were from the nearest post offices where these sessions were conducted.  Resource Persons covered following topics in their session:

• SB Account 

• Recurring deposit (RD) and Fixed Deposits

• Monthly Income Scheme(MIS)

• Senior Citizen Scheme (SCS)

• India Post Payment Bank

• Public Provident Fund (PPF)

• National Saving Certificate (NSC)

• Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP)

• Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana 

• Ponzy schemes

62 accounts of various schemes were opened as a result of these sessions; these included 13 saving accounts, 22 Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana, 3 PPF, 12 Recurring deposits and 12 GAIP schemes accounts.
