1716 Skills Programme: Tailoring Skills for girls
Vadodara, September 2024 : The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized Tailoring Skill Training for a batch of 21 girls from the slums of Vadodara under the aegis of project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany).

This month, the students learned the art of creating three popular and stylish clothing items: the Princess blouse, Patiala salwar, and Dhoti salwar. In the Princess blouse, students focused on cutting and stitching techniques to create a blouse. Next, the Patiala salwar lessons introduced them to the traditional yet trendy pleated pants style, known for its comfort and flowing silhouette. Lastly, in the Dhoti salwar, the students were taught how to craft this popular fusion of traditional dhoti and salwar.
