1700 AXA-DBDS Project: Free Health Camps  

Pune, August 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized three Health Check-Up Camps for 312 patients under the 'Women Empowerment Project,' supported by AXA Global Business Services. The details of these camps are as follows: 

First Health Camp was organized on 7th August 2024 at Dutta Nagar slum.  The medical team consisted of Dr. Renuka Patil (Gynaecologist), Dr. Avinash Survase (M. D. Paediatric) and Dr.Harshit Kalkhundia (MS), Dr. Yash Trivedi (Gen. Surgeon) and Akansh Jaiswal (Optician). 93 patients were examined by the medical team. 2 Cataract patients were identified for Cataract Surgery.

 Second Health Camp was organized on 16th August 2024 at Saibaba Nagar slum.  The medical team consisted of Mr. Akash Jaiswal (Optician) and Mr. Sadashiv Patil examined 80 patients. 5 Cataract patients were identified for Cataract Surgery. People with defective eye-sight were given spectacles at a highly subsidized cost of Rs.100 to 150 only. Few patients with defective vision were also referred to H.V.

 Third Health Camp was organized on 27th August 2024 at Private Road slum.  The medical team consisted of Dr.Anilkumar Mune, Dr Athar Khan and Dr Ahelam Aziz examined 139 patients.

 In all the health camps, the medical team measured the blood pressure, blood sugar, temperature, and oxygen levels. Diagnoses included joint pain, fungal infections, common colds, calcium deficiencies, gastric problems, eye issues, and skin infections. Free medicines were distributed to all the patients.
