1374 Educational Material For Under Privileged Children
Mumbai, September 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) distributed educational material such as drawing books, calendars, story books, general knowledge books, scale, bag, pen, water colour, sketch pen, pencil, crayons, writing pad, clay etc. to the children in the slums of Mumbai; under the aegis of project financially supported by Schöck Family Foundation and the City of Stuttgart (Germany).
DBDS is conducting a total of 27 remedial classes in the slums of Mumbai – out of which seven classes are supported under this project since June-2021. A total of 210 children residing in the various slums of Mumbai are being catered to on a daily basis under this project. Some of these materials will also be kept in the classroom to aid in teaching. Children attending classes will use this material to learn new things and complete their school syllabus.
The students as well as the teachers were very happy and expressed their gratitude for equipping the classroom with the teaching-learning material.
