1519 Free Health Camp in Wadala and Antop Hill Slums

Mumbai, June 2022: The Don Bosco Development Society organized two health check-up camps for 199 people (Adult male-49, Adult female-132, Children-18) in Karimwadi (Wadala) and Transit Camp (Antop Hill) slums in Mumbai.

First health camp was organized on 17th June 2022 in Karimwadi slum. 92 (57 women, 32 men and 3 children) people were examined by Dr Dinesh & Team from L&T hospital. Second health Camp was held on 23rd June 2022 at Transit Camp slum. 107 patients (75 women, 17 men and 15 children) were examined by Dr Dinesh & Team from L&T hospital.

Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Eye problem, Skin infections etc. Free medicines were distributed to patients. The DBDS staff and volunteers from the slum were extremely helpful in logistical arrangement such as putting up chairs and tables, arranging water, visiting families in slums and informing them about the health camp and in managing the crowd. Local people were very happy with these health camps and praised the efforts of DBDS.
