Pune, September 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in Chinchwad organized a free general health check-up and eye examination camp for the residents of the Ambedkar Nagar slum. A total of 61 individuals, including 44 women, 10 men, and 7 children, were examined by the medical team during the camp, which was conducted as part of the 'Women Empowerment Project' supported by AXA Global Business Services.

 Dr. Sapana Bhosale (BAMS), Mr. Akansh Jaiswal (B.Optician, H.V. Desai Hospital, Hadapsar), and Mr. Rahit Velekar (Marketing Head), along with their team, conducted thorough examinations. The check-ups included monitoring of blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen levels. Patients were diagnosed with conditions such as joint pain, fungal infections, common colds, calcium deficiency, gastric issues, eye problems, and skin infections. Free medications were provided to those diagnosed with illnesses, and one patient was identified for cataract surgery.
