Pune, January 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized an eco-friendly art workshop under the aegis of Women Empowerment Project supported by AXA Business Services. Eco-friendly workshop was organized on 26th January 2024 to prioritize the use of renewable and recycled materials in making art and craft items. Participants in eco-friendly art and craft workshops learn to transform everyday items like cardboard, newspapers, and discarded materials into unique and aesthetically pleasing creations. 12 girls and 16 boys from slums participated in this workshop.  Mrs. Aishwarya Namde was the resource person. The participants learnt to make idol of Ganapati, Warli designing frame and Krishna. Children used material such as clay, Newspaper, card board, acrylic colour, outliner, brush, flat brush, ear bud etc. to make the above mentioned items. Participants shared ideas, learnt from one another, and collectively contribute to a more sustainable and mindful approach to artistic expression. At the end of session snacks distributed to all.
