Pune, May 2023: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized two Climate Change awareness session for 43 children under the aegis of ‘Health Care and Sustainable Environment Project’ supported by AXA business services. The details are as follows:

First session was held on 13th May 2023 at Phule Nagar slum for 23 children. Dr. Vikas Chothe was the resource person. Second session was held on 17th May 2023 at Tadiwala Road slum for 20 children. Mr. Kishore Sonawane was the resource person. The objective of the workshops was to make children aware and take action for climate change adaptation measures, such as adjustments in natural and man-made systems to reduce the likely impacts of climate change. The Resource Persons covered following topics:

• Air Pollution & impact to human body 

• Land Pollution & impact to human body

• Water Pollution & impact to human body

• Sound pollution and impact to human health 

• Water conservation, Waste Management 

• Reduce, reuse and recycle 

These were interactive session where the participants asked questions which were answered by the resource person. After the sessions snacks were distributed to all.
