Vadodara, November 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized three ‘Best out of Waste’ Trainings for a batch of 10 girls and 9 boys from slums of Vadodara under the aegis of project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany). 

Ms Manshi Yadav was the resource person. She took three sessions, whose details are as follows: 

This month, the batch of 10 girls and 9 boys learn to make three innovative items: Chair, Flowerpot, and Key Stand. The Chair-making session utilized materials such as waste paper, cardboard, and old fabric to create sturdy and aesthetic seating solutions. In the Flowerpot making segment, participants designed pots using painting and finishing techniques. The Key Stand session encouraged the use of scrap paper, wires, and other household waste to produce functional and attractive wall hangings.
