Pune, May 2023 : The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized three health camps for 278 people under the aegis of ‘Health Care and Sustainable Environment Project’ supported by AXA business services. The details are as follows:

First health camp (eye check-up) was organized on 17th May 2023 in Ajanta Nagar slum. 87 (55 women and 32 Men) people were examined by the medical team consisting of Dr. Pooja Tamkute, Mrs. Anita Said, Ms. Tejashree Khalate and Mr Anand Misal examined. B.P, temperature, oxygen level were measured for all. 11 Cataract, 3 Retina, 3 Cornea patients were identified for Cataract Surgery. People with defective eye-sight were given spectacles at a highly subsidized price of Rs.150 to 300 only. Few patients with defective eye-sight were also referred to H.V. Desai Hospital for further treatment.

 Second health camp was organized on 24th May 2023 in Tadiwala Road slum.  113 patients were examined by Dr Junaid Khan. Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, menstrual irregularities, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Skin infections and anaemia.

 Third health camp (Eye Check-up) was organized on 25th May 2023 in Phule Nagar slum. 78 (50 women, 23 men and 5 children) people were examined by Mrs. Vishakha Sangade. 6 Cataract, 2 Retina, 1 Cornea patients were identified for Cataract Surgery. People with defective eye-sight were given spectacles at a highly subsidized cost of Rs.150 to 300 only. Few patients with defective vision were also referred to H.V. Desai Hospital for further treatment.
