Pune, January 2025: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized four Financial Literacy awareness sessions for 105 ladies on savings, investment, insurance and digital security under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by AXA GBS. The details are as follows:

First session was organized on 11th January 2025 at Tipu Sultan Nagar slum for 26 ladies. K.S. Parkhi was the resource person. 

Second session was organized on 21st January 2025 at Dalavi Nagar slum for 22 ladies.  Mr. Anil Meherkhamb was the resource person. 

Third session was organized on 23rd January 2025  at Yashwant Nagar slum for 30 ladies. Mrs. Shalinai Ghag was the resource person. 

Fourth session was organized on 27th January 2025 at Laxmi Nagar slum for 27 ladies.  Mrs. Priya Pawar was the resource person.

• SB Account,Recurring deposit (RD) and Fixed Deposits

• Monthly Income Scheme(MIS)

• Senior Citizen Scheme (SCS)

• Public Provident Fund (PPF)

• National Saving Certificate (NSC)

• Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP)

• Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana 

• Ponzy schemes

• Digital Frauds and Precautions

It was an interactive session where the participants asked questions which were answered by the resource person.
