Pune, June 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized three Financial Literacy awareness sessions for 60 ladies on savings, investment, insurance and digital security under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by AXA GBS. The details are as follows:

First session was organized on 12th June 2024 at Ajanta Nagar slum for 19 ladies. Ms. Meghana Chavhan was the resource person. 

Second session was organized on 14th June 2024 at Khadi Machine slum for 23 ladies. Mrs. Meghana Chavhan was the resource person. 

Third session was organized on 26th June 2024 at Renuka Wasti slum for 18 ladies. Mrs. Nutan Shinde was the resource person.

The resource person covered following topics in her session: 

• SB Account,Recurring deposit (RD) and Fixed Deposits

• Monthly Income Scheme(MIS)

• Senior Citizen Scheme (SCS)

• Public Provident Fund (PPF)

• National Saving Certificate (NSC)

• Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP)

• Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana 

• Ponzy schemes

• Digital Frauds and Precautions

It was an interactive session where the participants asked questions which were answered by the resource person.
