Chinchwad (Pune): The AXA CR Week commenced on 20^th June 2022 with the workshop on “Breast and Cervical Cancer” awareness for women from the slums of Chinchwad. 36 women from various slum areas participated in this workshop. The programme was organized under the aegis of corporate responsibility week of AXA Business Services.

The objective of the workshop was to make women aware about the health risks of Cancer. Cervical and Breast cancer are the most common type of Cancer affecting women in slums.

Dr Trupti Dharpawar was the resource person. She presented a documentary on the issues related to Cancer. In her interactive session she explained the causes, symptoms, precautions, diagnosis and treatment of Cancer. Later she answered to the doubts and questions raised by the participants. After the session Sanitary Pads were distributed to the participants.
