Pune, October 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized breast, cervical cancer awareness session for the women residing in the slums of Indira Nagar in Chinchwad, Pune. 48 women participated in this awareness session which was held under the aegis of ‘COVID-19 Pandemic Emergency Relief Work’ supported by AXA business services.

Dr Pratima kale was the resource persons. She gave information on the causes, symptoms, tests and treatment of Cancer. Fr. Savio Silveira (Provincial-Don Bosco) and Fr. Sanjay Lopes (Rector- Don Bosco, Chinchwad) also interacted with the participants during the session. Later they visited the beneficiaries in the slum areas.
