1568 AXA-DBDS Project: Financial Literacy and Digital Safety Session

Pune, September 2022 : The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized three awareness sessions on savings, investment, insurance and digital security for women residing in the slums of Mumbai. 76 women participated in these sessions held under the aegis of ‘Health Care and Sustainable Environment Project’ supported by AXA business services.

Three Financial Literacy Training Sessions were organized this month. First session was held on 12th September 2022 for the women of Indira Nagar slum in Chinchwad. 24 women participated in this session. Mrs K.S.Parkhi was the resource person.

Second session was held on 14th September 2022 for the women from Bopodi slum in Pune. 21 women participated in this session. Ms Mona More was the resource person.

Third session was held on 20th September 2022 for the women of Durgs Nagar slum in Chinchwad. 31 women participated in this session. Mrs Shilpa Deshpande was the resource person.

  • Monthly Income Scheme(MIS)

  • Senior Citizen Scheme (SCS)

  • Public Provident Fund (PPF)

  • National Saving Certificate (NSC)

  • Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP)

  • Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana

  • Ponzy schemes

  • Digital Frauds and Precautions

These were interactive sessions where the participants asked questions which were answered by the resource person.
