Vadodara, September 2024: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized three ‘Best out of Waste’ Trainings for a batch of 10 girls and 9 boys from slums of Vadodara under the aegis of project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany). 

Ms Manshi Yadav was the resource person. She took three sessions, whose details are as follows: 

This month, the instructor taught Wall Hanging (Doll), Navratri Jewellery (Bangles), and Atri Jewellery (Earrings and Hair Pins). The Wall Hanging (Doll) activity involved creating beautiful, handmade dolls to be used as wall decor. Students learned to use different materials such as fabric, thread, beads, and decorative elements to bring these charming pieces to life. In preparation for Navratri, the students crafted traditional bangles as part of the Navratri Jewellery. They learned techniques for decorating bangles using beads, threads, stones etc. The Atri Jewellery focused on making earrings and hairpins.
