Vadodara, December 2025: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized special activity for more than 200 children under the aegis of Slum Children Education Project supported by Elmex Charitable Foundation, Vadodara.
A special activity session on soluble and insoluble substances was conducted to help students understand basic scientific concepts through simple, hands-on examples. During the session, participants learned that soluble substances dissolve completely in a solvent like water to form a uniform solution, while insoluble substances do not dissolve and remain as separate particles. The concept was explained using practical demonstrations, such as sugar dissolving in water to form a clear solution and sand remaining undissolved and settling at the bottom of water. The activity also introduced the idea that solubility depends on the nature of substances, reinforcing the principle that substances with similar properties dissolve in each other. This interactive approach helped students grasp the concepts easily and increased their interest in learning science.
