Pune, March 2026: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized a free community health camp for 79 individuals under the Women Empowerment Project, supported by AXA Global Business Services, to address the healthcare needs of vulnerable populations living in urban slums of Pune. The medical team, led by Dr. Vijay Borhade, conducted thorough examinations and provided treatment for a range of health conditions such as joint pain, skin infections, and anaemia. In addition, specialized screenings were carried out, through which several cases of hypertension and elevated blood sugar levels were identified, enabling timely medical advice and intervention.
The initiative was well received by the local residents, who expressed appreciation for the accessibility and quality of healthcare services. The camp significantly contributed to strengthening primary healthcare access and promoting health awareness within the community.
