Vadodara, June 2026 : The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized Tailoring Skill Training classes for young ladies in the slums of Kishanwadi. The classes are run in two batches held between 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm respectively. Each batch has 20 ladies, so a total of 40 ladies are undergoing training under the aegis of project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany).

The Don Bosco Development Society conducted a series of tailoring training sessions for a new batch of 40 girls at Kishanwadi under the guidance of trainer Neha Sonavne. The programme aimed to equip participants with basic stitching and garment-making skills to enhance their livelihood opportunities through vocational training. The sessions covered the operation of sewing machines, fundamental sewing techniques, preparation of cloth bags, pillow covers, and simple baby frocks. Participants were also trained in taking accurate measurements and fabric cutting, enabling them to develop practical skills required for producing quality stitched products and building confidence for self-employment or income-generating activities.
