Vadodara, March 2026: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized Beauty Care Skill Training for 42 girls from slums of Vadodara under the aegis of Skill Development project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany). The training is given in two batches. The morning batch consists of 20 girls trained by Ms Maheshwari Lohar and afternoon batch consist of 22 girls trained by Ms Roshniben Makwana. The session’s details are as follows:
In March, a total of 8 comprehensive training sessions were conducted across Shikota Nagar and Kishanwadi benefiting 42 young women. Led by expert resource persons Maheshwari Lohar and Roshniben Makwana, the curriculum focused on professional hair styling and grooming techniques. The sessions were structured to build foundational and advanced skills, including:
• Precision Cutting: Students mastered various hair-cutting techniques, focusing on symmetry and style trends.
• Texturing & Curling: Participants learned the mechanics of creating curls, emphasizing volume and heat safety.
• Creative Styling: The final modules explored diverse hairstyles suitable for professional and festive occasions.
By the end of the month, students demonstrated significant improvement in technical proficiency and aesthetic judgment, equipping them with valuable vocational skills for the beauty industry.
