Vadodara, April 2026: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Vadodara organized three Business and Entrepreneurship skill sessions for the ladies undergoing training in Tailoring and Beauty care under the aegis of Skill Development project supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.V (Germany).
A three-day entrepreneurship training was conducted for beauty parlour and tailoring trainees, with each session focusing on different aspects of starting and managing a small business.
Training 1 (06/04/2026): The session for beauty parlour trainees introduced the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including identifying business ideas, understanding market needs, planning, and arranging finances. Participants were guided on legal aspects, use of government schemes, marketing strategies, and overcoming business challenges. The session also emphasized ethical practices, use of digital platforms, and planning for future growth.
Training 2 (08/04/2026): The session for tailoring trainees covered key entrepreneurial skills required to run a business effectively. Topics included communication, decision-making, problem-solving, time and money management, marketing, networking, and customer satisfaction. The importance of using technology and maintaining honesty and responsibility in business operations was also discussed.
Training 3 (11/04/2026): The session for beauty parlour trainees focused on starting a beauty-related business with low investment. Participants learned about essential skills such as hair styling, makeup, hygiene, and customer service. The trainer emphasized the importance of cleanliness, selecting a suitable location, offering quality services, and promoting the business through platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram. The session also highlighted how small beginnings can lead to successful business growth.
Overall, the training series helped participants gain a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship, motivating them to start and manage their own small businesses with confidence.
