Pune, July 2026: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized a Mobile Phone Addiction Session under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by AXA GBS. The session was organized on 18.07.2026 for 119 students of Dhaneshwar High School in Dhanori slum. Mrs Prajakta Pendse was the resource person.
Mrs. Prajakta Pendse, Resource Person from Muktangan De-Addiction Centre, Pune, conducted an engaging and informative PowerPoint session on mobile addiction. She highlighted the proper use of mobile phones, their benefits and drawbacks, and the psychological, physical, and social impact of excessive screen time, social media, and internet use. She also explained the warning signs of mobile addiction and its adverse effects on concentration, productivity, creativity, health, family life, and personal relationships.
Emphasizing the importance of a balanced lifestyle, she encouraged participants to engage in regular physical exercise, limit screen time, and avoid using mobile phones after 8:00 PM unless absolutely necessary. Concluding the session, she described the mobile phone as a double-edged sword, stressing that disciplined and responsible use of technology is essential for maintaining a healthy, balanced, and productive life.
